Micro Windmills

What if a windmills size could be reduced to fit comfortably inside the sleeve of a cell phone case?  That is exactly what Jung-Chih Chiao a electrical engineer from the University of Texas had in mind. These micro windmill measure about 2 millimeters wide and 2mm tall. In order to keep the costs low Jung-Chih Chiao and Smitha Rao had to utilize everyday electronic circuits. These tiny windmills can be produced cheaply enough for commercial usage and, one thousand of these tiny windmill's will be able to power communication and lighting system of a single family home.

These Ultra-Cute Micro Windmills May Soon Charge Your Devices

1. It would involve the arduous task of carrying around windmills.
2.He does however assert that a few thousand would be enough to power the security system of a small home.
3.Wind energy has never been contemplated.
4. Its manufacture using an extremely durable and flexible nickel.
5.Harnessing wind energy in small amounts to charge personal devices has never been thought of.
6. He is in the process of obtaining a patent for his invention.
7.Chiao who built the prototype with his associate Smitha Rao.
8.Many micro windmills can be made from a single wafer.
9. The tiny windmills are able to withstand strong winds.
