The best book I ever read was Roar. Roar was about earth but earth a being consumed by a disease that made all animals dangerous to people and it was slowly killing all life on the planet. so people lived behind a giant wall. The governors and other powerful people behind the wall were trying to build a army with children and to take back the rest of the world that wasn't behind the wall. The children were all mutants and had special quality's

 about them.
